Bigger is not always better. A key aspect of finding the perfect industrial tablet is selecting the right one based on usability and screen size.

Are you looking for a rugged tablet for motorcycle, car or other transportation? If so, you should consider the size of the cab and other equipment already mounted in the vehicle.

Do you have to carry your tablet for hours at a time? In that case, the ideal is to be able to work ergonomically, safely and, above all, comfortably. For this purpose, it is always advisable to accompany it with a handheld support.

Touch screen

The screen must be easy to see and use in order to work with the device without any difficulty.

Will you be using the tablet outdoors? Then you need a tablet that is anti-glare, sunlight readable and with a touch screen that works even in the rain.

Device usage environment

Are you working in a humid or dusty place, and is there a high chance that the device will get wet or even submerged in water? Make sure your device has the appropriate IP (Ingress Protection) rating. This standard measures the protection of the tablet according to the value of two digits: the first against dust and the second its resistance to water. 

For our part, every Thunderbook rugged tablet also has MIL-STD-810G certification, which guarantees its resistance to drops, shocks and vibrations. We want to ensure that our customer's device can adapt to adverse conditions that were not contemplated at first.

Software requirements

It is important to make sure to choose the right specifications to meet the graphics and configuration needs of the applications to be used. 

If you are working from a remote server, you need an up-to-date terminal emulator or web browser to access the applications.

Conversely, if you are installed locally, then you should make sure you choose a CPU, RAM and Storage that have adequate performance to run these programs.
